About Me

3 months ...................................... adventure - explore - challenge

Taken for a walk.

Our guides.
Today we awoke to find every muscle in our anatomy was aching to the point that doing up shoelaces was a problem.  You can only imagine the the joy we beheld to find out we were picking up the hoes again today, only this time it was to clear stones rather than soil.  With rainstorms forecast for the next few days we needed to clear/create the water gulleys that run across the steep gravel road leading to the farm to prevent flooding.  Luckily it only took about 2 hours and the sun tried very hard to peep through the clouds.

After a well deserved coffee break we decided to go for a walk through the forest. We took Punch the dog with us and as we passed the Hugo's farm next door, his little jack russell decided to join us.  The dogs took the lead and led us on a delightful walk down some tracks and over the river.  We had to keep reminding them that we could not run down the steep drops but had to stay on the paths.
Steady!!

The remainder of the day was spent relaxing with the computers and books and Rob helped the kids with homework whilst Sonja made the dinner.  Her rosemary foccaccia bread went down a treat with our new Italian family.
